Google Tablet will Target Kindle Fire

DigiTimes reports today that Google tablet may actually be targeting Amazon’s 7-inch Kindle Fire instead of iPad. According to reports Google may launch it’s own branded tablet in March-April time but Google Taiwan commented on the matter that they never had any detail about the plan.

Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt has recently revealed that the company plans to launch a high quality tablet PC within the next six months, but since he did not provide any further detail about the device, it has left many players to believe that Google will copy its strategy from Nexus smartphone to help expanding Android tablet PC’s market share.

 

Record Number of Activations for iOS and Android over Christmas Time

Analytic firm Flurry tracks 1.5 million iOS and Android activations in the first twenty days of December but activations on December 25 alone rocketed the chart and topped 6.8 million which is 353% more than the rest of the month. In 2010 the company reported 2.8 million device activations which makes this year the biggest winner.
