Apple has sent emails to developers to download and test iOS 5.1 Beta 3. New software is only available over the air and hasn’t been provided as a standalone download yet.
According to sources the missing feature in iPhone 4S since it’s launch in October is back in this release. Users can now toggle “Enable 3G” in Network Settings to switch to use “Edge” data in order to save battery life. 3G loads data faster but may decrease battery life. iPhone 4S users don’t have this choice at the moment. They could either use cellular data through 3G or completely turn it off.
